Hydrotherapy

Water therapy combines the application of heat, cold, mechanical skin irritation and relaxation. Following procedures belong to this group: scottish shower, half bath, whirlpool bath, bath and shower with variable temperatures for lower limbs, sauna, steam bath, whole body wrap.

  • Pearl Bath
    This is a bath in thermal water with a temperature between 37 and 38 degrees Celsius. It provides a micro-massage of the skin, improves blood circulation and overall relaxation of the organism.
  • Carbon Dioxide Bath
    This is a bath in thermal water with a temperature between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius and saturated with carbon dioxide. It improves blood circulation, lowers blood pressure and promotes mental relaxation.
  • Bath with Additives
    It positively influences motor skills, frees muscle tension, and has a pain-soothing effect. Baths could be, for example, with iodine, herbs, or peloid (peat moss).
  • Iodine bath
    The iodine added into the bath is able to absorb into the skin and work upon the changes activating motor problems.
  • Dry carbon dioxide bath
    The patient's body is closed in a sealed bag filled with carbon dioxide. It increases blood circulation, lowers blood pressure, improves the healing of wounds and rejuvenates tired muscles.
  • Dental irrigation
    A gum massage with the use of thermal water. It has beneficial results for periodontal tissue. It acts as a cure and prevention of periodontosis.

Wraps:

Peloid and paraffin. Improves blood circulation and warms aching parts of the body. The cosmetic wraps are beneficial to the skin.

  • Paraffin pack
    Melted paraffin is applied in several layers to a specific part of the body. The warmth improves mobility of small joints and blood circulation.
  • Peloid pack
    A bag of warm peat moss is put on a specific part of the body. This provokes a slow transfer of heat into the body. It is used to treat motor problems, problems of digestive tract and it has a pain-soothing effect.
  • Peloid wrap
    Heated peat moss mixed with thermal water is applied directly to the affected part of the body and it provokes a slow transfer of heat into the body. It is used to treat motor problems, chronic illnesses of digestive tract, and for treatment of gout, etc.

Massages:

All the well-known types of massages are applied , e.g. classical, reflex and underwater massages.

  • Classical massage
    A hand massage with the use of soap or massage cream. It improves blood circulation, as well as absorption of oxygen and nutriments into the tissue, helps flush out injurants from the body and releases muscles.
  • Reflex massage
    Positively influences reflex changes caused by ill internal organs and motor apparatus, especially spine.
  • Underwater massage
    Water pressure is used for this massage. It creates muscle relaxation, improves blood circulation in the skin and under the skin and improves joint mobility.

Physiatry:

Ultra-sound cures, various methods of electric cures, electro-magnetic therapy, laser therapy. These curative procedures lessen the pain, improve metabolism, unblock the muscular tension, remove degenerative changes in muscles and bones.

Pneumopuncture

During this treatment the acupuncture points are activated thanks to the application of carbon dioxide under the skin. The painful syndromes and function disorders are relieved.

Inhalations

Oxygen therapy
